Formally with the Seattle Opera company, Robert was more generally known as Seattle's famous Singing Bartender at Jake O'Shaughnessey's. He holds a Guinness Book world record for the number of times he sang Danny Boy while bartending at Jake's. Although now retired from singing, on special occasions he still can be coaxed to sing Danny Boy just one more time!
Jake's is gone, but the tradition lives on at the Pacific Inn Pub.
